My name is Ebony Weeks (soon to be Scott!!) and this is me.
I've always been surrounded by numerous art forms and I finally decided to pursue a career in photography after realizing that nothing else quite fits. As my father has now proclaimed, I am indeed, officially a “real-live photographer” who has graduated from The Centre for Arts and Technology in Halifax. My time and experiences in Halifax were priceless and have shaped who I am as both a person and a photographer and I'm grateful for each person who has helped me along that journey.
My first love has always been music and I still study classical violin, although I wouldn't be from Eastern Canada if I couldn't whip out a fiddle tune or two! I have spent years sharing the joy I get from music with new musicians and I hope that I will be able to do the same with my vision and images. I also love reading, writing, cooking (and, obviously, eating said cooking), playing video games with my soon-to-be husband Craig (and obviously beating his score), exercising, organizing, watching all sorts of movies, playing board games, deep conversations, and day-dreaming. I'm willing to try almost anything at least once. I love being around my family and closest friends and, as an extension, everyone who shares their intimate moments with me.
My images are fun, special, artful, full of love, and tell a story, the story of you and your family in this moment. I love capturing moments and expressions in whatever situations presents itself. I'm not interested in making you look like someone out of a magazine, I want to make YOU look like the best YOU in the moments that we are together, in all your perfect imperfections, freckles, crooked smiles, and fly-aways included. If you're interested in booking a session, learning more about me or what I do, or just sitting down for a chat please get in contact with me. I would love to know how I can help you out.
